Background
Ian previously worked for National Britannia and Mowlem Environmental
Sciences Group and has 6 years experience. His last role with Mowlem
Environmental Sciences was that of Regional Manager and Deputy Technical
Manager, responsible for commercial, financial and technical/quality aspects. He
has managed several large projects and contracts, including:- BAA – The
management of asbestos removals to enable the re-development of Heathrow’s
Terminal 1. Thames Valley Police Authority – the management of asbestos surveys
of the police authority’s property portfolio and subsequent consultancy with
regard to remedial actions. Ian has also undertaken many surveys to locate and
identify asbestos in a variety of premises, including industrial, retail,
administration, educational, residential and religious properties.
Management Skills
Through varied experience and his methodical approach to situations, Ian can
offer practical, cost effective and client focused solutions to the management
of asbestos in buildings. Ian has many skills that are very useful to a project
and his range of knowledge ensures he can manage a project (surveying or
abatement works) to reach a satisfactory conclusion.
Responsibilities
Asbestos Building Management and Refurbishment/Demolition Surveys in
accordance with HSG 264.
Asbestos management and consultancy works.
Liaising with the General Manager to
ensure compliance with Health & Safety obligations and our accreditations.
Monitor standards of work and services being provided.
