Background
Conduct analytical works for asbestos remediation projects in strict compliance with HSG248 guidelines.
Perform asbestos surveys for management, refurbishment and demolition on domestic, commercial, and industrial sites in accordance with HSG264 standards.
Serve as Project Manager for the BAE Systems Glascoed site, executing comprehensive inspections and evaluations of on-site buildings, coordinating subsequent removal activities and maintaining strong client relationships over a six year period.
Conduct technical reviews of asbestos survey reports before client distribution and assess external reports for compliance and suitability.
Generate detailed asbestos survey reports and organise data collected during surveys for inclusion in final reports.
Manage the scheduling of Asbestos Surveyors and Analysts appointments to optimise workflow.
Responsibilities
Oversee the technical quality of asbestos testing, surveying and consultancy projects, ensuring adherence to relevant procedures within the organisation.
Ensure the company retains UKAS accreditation by consistently fulfilling the requirements of international standards ISO 17025 and ISO 17020 on a daily basis.
Lead the maintenance of the annual audit program, conduct survey rechecks, provide staff training and auditing and manage training records.
Identify and establish partnerships with approved suppliers for stock and equipment procurement, as well as oversee the calibration and maintenance of all technical equipment.
Execute and manage internal and external quality control schemes, including RICE and AIMS and take pride in achieving outstanding performance in these areas.
Serve as a primary resource for clients, offering expert advice on regulations and compliance matters.
