  • BOHS P406 – Supervision and Management of the Safe Removal of Asbestos
  • BOHS P404 – Air Sampling and Clearance Testing of Asbestos and MMMF and Requirements for a Certificate of Reoccupation following Clearance of Asbestos

  • Registered with UKATA for providing Class ‘B’ Asbestos Awareness and working on Notifiable Non Licensed Work

Background

Ben possess’ extensive asbestos survey experience with respect to Management and Demolition Survey’s dating from December 2003. This includes commercial and domestic properties. A large section of Ben’s career was spent undertaking surveys and re-inspections in schools on behalf of NPS Property Services in Norfolk. Ben has undertaken work for many Clients including the Ministry of Defence, Bristol City Council, Cardiff County Council, Norfolk County Council, Lincolnshire NHS Trust, Lincolnshire County Council, Lincoln College, HM Prison Service and several housing associations.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the quality of asbestos testing, surveying and consultancy work within the organisation and its compliance with all relevant procedures.
  • Ensuring  UKAS accreditation is maintained; meeting  the requirements of international standards ISO 17025 and ISO 17020 on a daily basis.
  • Responsible for the RICE and AIMS proficiency testing schemes and prides himself on excellent recent performance of these schemes.
  • Maintaining the annual audit program, undertaking survey re-checks.
  • Organising staff training days, training staff, maintaining training records, recruitment
  • Identifying approved suppliers of stock/equipment and the calibration/ maintenance of equipment.
