Background

Stephen graduated with a degree in Environmental Risk Management where he completed his dissertation on the Health Risk of Chrysotile Asbestos and its Substitutes.

He has over 14 years’ experience within the asbestos industry commencing with a surveying/analytical role which has ensured that he knows the industry from the ground up.

Stephen has recently re-joined as Operations Manager where his main responsibility will be to manage the day to day activities of site staff, ensuring operations are undertaken as efficiently as possible while meeting all client and regulatory requirements/guidance.

Stephen will also act as a Project Manager as required and undertake site assessments, provision of quotations and contract review.

He has worked as the Technical Manager for a Licensed Asbestos Removal Contractor and was responsible for achieving a 3 year HSE License and ensuring Contract Managers, Supervisors and Operatives worked in accordance with current legislation and guidance and undertook tasks safely and competently – both at planning and site stages.

He was also involved in scoping and planning asbestos removal works and providing advice both internally and externally to Clients, also undertaking some contract management of projects including contaminated land remediation, nuclear power stations, MOD sites and Local Authorities.

At his previous role as Technical Manager at Enquin Environmental, Stephen was responsible for the technical quality of asbestos testing, surveying and consultancy work within the organisation, ensuring the company maintained UKAS accreditation in line with the requirements of international standards ISO 17025 and ISO 17020.

His other duties included implementing the current TEAMS software system that is in use, maintaining the annual audit program, undertaking survey rechecks, staff training and maintaining training records. Identifying approved suppliers of stock and equipment and the calibration and maintenance of equipment are also part of his role.

Stephen was also responsible for internal and external quality control schemes during this time such as RICE and AIMS.

Background

Sally has worked in the asbestos industry for 20 years. She previously worked for one of the UK’s leading Health, Safety and Environmental companies as Divisional Administration Manager for the Asbestos Division. This role encompassed the management of the Telemarketing and Sales Support Team, processing of all new business and invoicing, the scheduling of 80+ surveyors, management of the Word Processing Team, the Asbestos Helpdesk, Regional Administrators around the UK, administration of Asbestos Training Courses and the man-management of 24 staff.

She joined Enquin Environmental in 2004 as Business Development Manager and has played an integral part in helping to grow the business. During her employment with Enquin, Sally has expanded her role and is now also responsible for service delivery and in 2011, she was appointed Company Secretary.

Sally has a wealth of experience within the asbestos field which she brings to the services we offer. She understands the issues our clients have and can offer a client-focused solution to most issues.

Sally is part of the organisations senior management team.

  • Shuhel has worked in the asbestos field for over 20 years, from Trainee Surveyor to current position of Operations Manager.
  • He previously worked at a London based international company for various high-profile clients which include government, defence and financial institutions then relocated back to Swansea.    On returning to Wales, he worked for another UKAS  Accredited Asbestos Consultancy for 17 years.
  • Shuhel has carried out surveys for domestic, commercial and industrial properties for asbestos management, refurbishment and demolition purposes in accordance with HSG 264.
  • He has carried out four stage clearance analytical work for asbestos removal in accordance with HSG 248.
  • He is a qualified Bulk Analyst and has undertaken analysis of samples for asbestos using PLM & PCM microscopy in accordance with HSG 248.

Background

Ben possess’ extensive asbestos survey experience with respect to Management and Demolition Survey’s dating from December 2003. This includes commercial and domestic properties. A large section of Ben’s career was spent undertaking surveys and re-inspections in schools on behalf of NPS Property Services in Norfolk. Ben has undertaken work for many Clients including the Ministry of Defence, Bristol City Council, Cardiff County Council, Norfolk County Council, Lincolnshire NHS Trust, Lincolnshire County Council, Lincoln College, HM Prison Service and several housing associations.

Background

Julie graduated from Cardiff University with a first class honours, where she completed her dissertation in the Identification and Analysis of Asbestos (Bulk Identification, Scanning Electron Microscopy and X-ray Diffraction).

Whilst at University, Julie successfully completed two summer placements with Enquin Environmental. On completion of her degree she joined the company as a full time employee.

She has undertaken surveys to locate and identify asbestos in a variety of premises, including industrial, administrative, educational and residential properties, as well as undertaking a wide variety of air monitoring and asbestos fibre counting duties.

She has undertaken the day to day management of a contract for ‘real time’ survey works for a large unitary authority in the Midlands.
